Build Time - Table of Contents
Problem Type
There are three problem types:
- Write in time - Generate clock with
only our and minute hands. Student is required to write in the time presented by
the clock.
- Draw in hands - Generate a blank
clock with the time in hours and minutes as text. Student is required to draw the
hour and minute hands on the clock.
- Both - Randomly generate clocks with
either of the first two problem types.
The problem type is mandatory and must be selected in order to generate worksheets.

Time Increment
This option allows you to select the time increments shown on the clocks. For example,
if you select "Hour", only clocks with an exact hour time are generated. If you
select "5 minutes", clocks with any 5 minute increment will be generated. You can
select more than one option to indicate you would like a greater amount of certain
time increments to be generated. Time increment is mandatory and one or more choices
must be selected in order to generate a worksheet.

Clock Size
This option allows you to specify the size of each clock generated. The number of
clocks generated depends on selection of the clock size.

Options
The following are options for generating clocks:
- Hands without arrows - By default,
the hands on clocks have an arrow on the end of each hand. Many of today's modern
clocks do not have arrows. You can select this option to generate hands that do
not have arrows at the end.
- Hide clock numbers - By selecting
this option, the numbers (i.e. hours) on the clocks will not be displayed, making
it more difficult to determine the correct time.
- Number problems 1 to ... - By selecting
this option, all clocks problems will be numbered from 1 to the highest number.

Generate!
The Generate! button allows you to generate your clock worksheets. Once you have
entered the input data and selected any options, you may select one of two different
Generate! choices:
- Generate problems - This choice will
generate and display your clock worksheets (without answers). Each worksheet will
be displayed in a new browser window. Once displayed, you can review and/or print
your worksheet. On many browsers, you can move your mouse over each individual clock
to view the answer (only for "Write in time" problem type).
- Generate answers - This choice will
display your clock worksheets (with answers). Each worksheet will be displayed in
a new browser window. Once displayed, you can review and/or print your answer worksheet.

Re-Shuffle
For each set of options you select on the build page, you will get the same problems
each time you click the Generate! button. If you are not satisfied with the problems
generated for you, then you can click the Re-Shuffle button. Once you click Re-Shuffle,
you can re-click the Generate! button to generate a new set of problems. There is
no limit to the number of times you can re-shuffle your problems.
